Let's go out where the green grass glistens
where the sun beats down
and the bullfrogs croak
Where the river water runs
and the heat's so hot
Where it never ever snows
but it sure rains a lot
Let's go out to the Sipsey and fish
walk around on the bank
or jump in the boat
Let's reminisce from when I was a kid
when I dressed up like you
and did what you did
Let's sit on the porch and swing back and forth
and talk about how nice it is
in the middle of nowhere at the end of the day
It's sure nice to be home for a while
