The Dark Knight Rises Review- As of my first time watching it (To be continued!)

     So, I think we can all agree that Christopher Nolan's newest Batman movie is a smash hit. The trilogy of Batman Begins, The Dark Knight, and The Dark Knight Rises is one of the best trilogies of all time in my book. The casting, the portrayal of most major characters (not fond of Maggie Gylenhaall's Rachel...too harsh), the music, the camerawork, the villains...I could go on. To say all of these things are up to par would be a giant understatement. The Dark Knight Rises had an exceptional plot, and the choice of Bane as the villain for the last of the three movies was a genius idea.
***SPOILERS START HERE***
     I have to say that I actually believed that Bruce was dead when I saw Alfred crying at the grave site. In fact, I was so distraught, that I missed the part where Fox discovers that Wayne added an autopilot feature and thought the ending was up for interpretation when I saw Bruce and Selina at the cafe in the end. ANYWAY...Bane was amazing. I loved everything about his character development, from his mannerisms and physicality down to his wardrobe and his voice. For me, he was perfect. Tom Hardy transformed himself from a pretty boy into a psychotic supervillain.
     There were a few changes from the comic book that I became aware of, but nothing too terribly plot changing. However, Miranda Tate doubling as Talia would have been awesome and completely unexpected had it not been on IMDB. Dumb. One of the criticisms I have for this film was the lack of Alfred...I didn't like that he left. BUT, Joseph Gordon-Levitt and the subtle way of making him Robin was very well done and minimally cheezy.
     I plan to go see the movie a few more times and add to this later!

The Dark Knight Rises Character Explanations and Rumors

The Dark Knight Rises will premiere in theatres this Friday, July 20th, at 12 midnight. I am SO excited. Rumors are that there are multiple villains in the film besides just Bane and Catwoman. There is a new character not in the comic books named John Blake (played by Joseph Gordon-Levitt), who apparently resembles Robin, and is speculated to be the next caped crusader after Bruce Wayne's retirement. Another obscure character is Miranda Tate (played by Marion Cottilard), who is on Wayne Enterprises' executive board and could possibly be Talia Al Guhl! If you are unfamiliar with who that is, think back to Batman Begins. This is Ra's Al Guhl's daughter, who Bane actually has an infatuation with in the comic books. Holly Robinson (played by Juno Temple) is a friend of Selina Kyle (Catwoman) and even takes over the role while Selina is pregnant with her daughter. Also: the chant in the trailer translates to "he rises" in Moroccan Arabic, according to some research. They're saying "Deshi deshi basara basara"
